When I first met Laura & Michael it must have been 2009... they were just two college students in love, sharing a small couch, legs tangled together while we talked school and soccer and life. In the more than 10 years since then a lot has changed. They broke up, then got back together. I got married. They got married. And always we have kept in touch. So when they reached out that they were heading to Bend this July (and let me know to expect a bump when I saw them) I knew I wanted to bring my camera.
I'm so grateful that these two were able to squeeze in a socially distanced park visit during their trip AND that they were as excited about snapping some maternity photos with this cute belly as I was.
Here's to good friends, good times, and good photos!
Camera settings: shooting with my Sony Alpha 6500 and my Sony 16-35 F2.8 lens around 6pm. Down by the river we were able to find a quiet spot with the sun off to our right and some good bounce on the water. I always shoot slightly wide around 20mm. Trying to balance their skin tones with the bright background, I'm keeping my shutter speed slightly fast at 1/500th, my ISO lightly high at 400, and my aperture low at F2.8 for some good bokeh.
